WHAT'S *NOT* INCLUDED

  • The actual hanging plates. You'll need to create your own using the template above. A variety of materials will work for this: EVA foam, foamed PVC board (Sintra), Worbla, etc

  • Lacing. Flat shoelaces work great for this. There are instructions in the template.

  • Lenses. You need to supply your own lenses. I like to glue in pieces of see-through mesh fabric.

  • Padding. Soft foam like upholstery foam is recommended.

UNTRIMMED Finish
This version is basically straight out of the mold. You will need to trim it. This includes removing the flashing around the opening of the helmet and cutting holes for the eyes. A rotary tool is recommended for trimming. There will also be some light finishing work required, including removing seam lines and filling any small bubbles. To attach the hanging plates, you will need to drill holes in the helmet.

TRIMMED Finish
The flashing has been trimmed from the opening of the helmet, and holes have been added for the eyes. You need to do any of the finishing work, such as removing seam lines or filling small bubbles. To attach the hanging plates, you will need to drill holes in the helmet.

The helmet is "one size fits most." It will comfortably fit most adult-size heads.

External dimensions:
