This handmade Jacob Marley door knocker replica is a fantastic display piece for any Charles Dickens fan. It is casted in resin as one solid piece (the knocker does not move), and it has been painted with a faux metal finish and weathered to give the appearance of an antique heirloom. The door knocker was originally sculpted by hand in a wax-based clay. This is a copy created from a silicone mold of the original. It is cast in a durable urethane resin and coated in a high-quality metal paint. The patina is a faux patina which is a combination of paint and wax. This seals the piece and provides a stable appearance over time (unlike a traditional chemical patina which may change over time). It is recommended to display the door knocker indoors away from the elements.
The door knocker is attached to the frame with screws. On the back of the frame is a hanger for hanging on a nail or screw.
